Introduction to Chiropractic
Chiropractic is considered non-medical healthcare, and is the largest licensed profession of that type in North America with approximately 60,000 doctors of chiropractic.
Doctors of Chiropractic (DC) are highly qualified in their field. After completing an undergraduate and a four-year professional course, they must pass further exams to obtain a license to practice. Additionally, throughout the course of their careers, they take part in continuing education to further develop their skills so that they may provide the best possible care.
There are many misconceptions about chiropractic and its role in health and wellness. Although chiropractors are well versed in relief care, chiropractic's main function is far beyond treating back and neck pain. Outside of treating the symptom(s), chiropractic's goal is to adjust the cause of the symptom and aid in the body's natural healing process.
Chiropractors are holistic doctors, focusing on your health and wellness as a whole rather than treating parts of it. Our goal is always to help you past acute troubles and onward to the highest quality of life possible.
