Lisa Bara Storey was attracted to her profession from a strong desire to help people and a fascination with exploring the connection between one’s mental and physical health. As a competitive dancer, this interest was fostered at an early age. Her career began as a Child and Youth care counselor; she experienced 20 successful years helping her clients improve their quality of life.
In 2010, Lisa earned her Acupuncturist designation and has been effective in treating a variety of health issues including digestive problems, gynecological diseases, infertility, back and joint pain, headaches, allergies, mental health and addictions.
She is also skilled in moxibustion, cupping, Chinese herbal medicine, Electroacupuncture and Auriculotherapy.
Lisa believes that health is about more than the absence of disease but rather about vitality and living a life with passion, joy and gratitude. Caring for one’s mental, physical and emotional health collectively is key.
Outside her practice, Lisa is an instructor at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and also makes time for yoga, biking, golfing and hiking. Spending time with her nieces is also one of her favorite activities.
